Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills, stains) in one go without the need to change devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its relatively affordable price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time. best budget robot vacuum cleaner comes with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at a high speed, but an instant glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the water tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend, though we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. The model this year has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean around them without stumbling.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I have discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its intelligent design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without the need for a pad. In addition, the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional squeaks of sound when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to access furniture with a low profile making it an ideal option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or individually. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. best budget robot vacuum cleaner docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market and comes with numerous additional features that set it apart. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is an excellent feature as it stops the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a useful way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning process, and there are a lot of functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list but it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
